Our family of five recently embarked on a remarkable journey to Egypt, and we owe our unforgettable experience to A&M Tours. Opting for a private tour due to my mum's limited mobility was the best decision we made. St. Catherine Monastery, Mount Sinai, and Dahab: Our dream of visiting the sacred grounds of St. Catherine Monastery, where Moses received the Ten Commandments, was realized on New Year's Day 2025. The journey from our hotel took around three hours, during which our guide, Ahmed, provided fascinating insights into the local lifestyle, schooling, and livelihoods. He also explained the significance of various rocks like black basalt, marble, and granite. At the gallery, we received a guided description of what to expect inside the monastery, as discussions are limited to maintain the serene atmosphere. The gallery's pictures helped us relate to the monastery's history. Ahmed ensured my mum could reach the monastery door and return to the private car comfortably, for which we are incredibly grateful. Exploring Dahab: After visiting the monastery, the burning bush, and Moses' well, we headed to Dahab. This beautiful beach town felt like a home away from home, reminiscent of our relaxed lifestyle back in India. We enjoyed amazing food and drinks by the sandy beach, making the experience even more special. A bit of shopping for Egyptian oils, gifts, and souvenirs added to the charm of our visit.
